Lewis Creek Farm Job Opening Posted 4/2/2026 Farmworker, Laborer and Agricultural Equipment Operator This position has a very long and demanding list of requirements. This is a job for someone with a mix of skills, strength and endurance that often only come with a considerable degree of on-farm experience. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform all the tasks described below and must be available for the entire period of employment through 12/10/2026. You must be willing and able to do any and all of the following tasks: 1. Plant, maintain and harvest diversified ground crops. 2. Perform field work including weeding, thinning, hoeing and other duties related to planting, maintaining and harvesting crops. 3. Work in greenhouses planting and transplanting seedlings, as well as caring for and harvesting greenhouse crops. 4. Plant and transplant crops in the fields. 5. Work in a storage building washing, culling, and preparing produce for storage and distribution. 6. Load and unload trucks. 7. Must have knowledge of soil tillage and must be able to apply fertilizers and pesticides and operate and repair farm machinery. 8. Be willing to work in varied weather ranging from extremely cold in the spring and fall to hot, humid summer days. 9. The work is physically demanding requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop and kneel for long periods of time. 10. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. 11. Must be able operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer's fields); 12. Those who drive will still perform the same field work and other duties as non-driving workers; driving is not a primary duty. 13. Must be able to use hand and power tools such as but not limited to shovels, hoes, pruners, irrigation pumps and chainsaws. 14. May cut brush to keep fields clear for crops. 15. Must be available to work Saturdays. 16. May be required to work 8 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am to 7:00pm from Monday through Saturday. 17. You must be available to work on Sunday if needed. Compensation: The wage starts at $15.96/ Hr. Commitment: This is a seasonal position, but we need a commitment from you through Thanksgiving.
